From 1989 - 2003, Liberia went through 2 civil wars that devastated the country and it's people. The war's caused the internal displacement of around 500,000 people and the deaths of a similar amount.

OWCIA is working to make a difference
Since 2009, OWCIA has been running educational programs for windows and orphans in the Krisan and Buduburam refugee camps in Ghana.
Most of the Liberians that were repatriated back to Liberia do not have a house/shelter, work or income and no educational opportunities for themselves or their children.Learn More > About Us
